Swami Satchidananda Heart Sutra Buddha Avalokitesvara 1-7

Swami Satchidanand talking about the heart sutra and explaining the meaning of Avalokitesvara and bodhisattva and how all sages and saints live from the highest heart or prajna paramita which are the soul chakras above the head along the antahkarana taught in Energy Enhancement initiation 4

Satchidanand: This is a very good time for all us to learn the sutra del corazon, the heart sutra for people who speak english. The sutra of the heart. And it was a lecture that was given by The Buddha thousands of years ago and it contains the essence of enlightenment. If you understand what the Buddha says in this sutra you will become enlightened (laughs). Now on the back of this thing here (holds up paper for students) on here we have a translation in english of what it means. And what it means is this. Avalokitesvara bodhisattva doing deep prajna paramita clearly saw the mu of the 5 conditions. Now everybody understands that don’t they, it’s all in english (laughs). Right, it’s alright. This is total non-sense. It means nothing. It’s such a bad translation, my God. Can you understand it Honey? Can you understand it Dhiren? The translation that they have given was given by an unenlightened person and all the texts are like this. Total nonsense. And you go “oh holy heart sutra…take me up to heaven”. And you’re going (stammers through…) Avalokites bodhis doing prajna paramita, clearly saw mu of the 5 conditions…That’s what he got. And what do you get out of that, nothing! And as Father Bede Griffiths said to me, it’s all in the explanation. Yea, so without more a do, I will tell you about Avalokitesvara bodhisattva. Now avalokitesvara is a buddha. He is a bodhisattva. Bodhisattva. Guillermo he knows what bodhisattvas are. What is a bodhisattva? Ke es a bodhisattva Guillermo?

Guillermo: It’s the one who is waiting at the nirvana state to help everybody to become enlightened. And when everybody is enlightened he will last.

Satchidanand: So it’s all in the explanation (laughs). So a bodhisattva is a person who has become enlightened and instead of going up to heaven through the goodness of his heart he waits here to help every other person on this planet to achieve enlightenment, what a good chap! (laughs). A bodhisattva is a person who’s heart is so big that he wants to help everybody whom he comes across.
